 STOked iPhone App Users
We'd like to hear feedback on the STOked iPhone app. I just put our first behind the scenes video in the app as a test, and I'd like to hear how it played, downloaded, etc? -Chris If you'd like to grab the app, you can find it here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/stoked-ultimate-star-trek-online/id338239068?mt=8

 Re: STOked iPhone App Users
I look forward to checking it out tomorrow! Best Buy is supposed to receive 50 or so at my local store guess they blasted through em for christmas gifts. Purchased the app and can't wait to get my touch! Subscribed to podcasts and added them in itunes.
Side note: Anyone know any pretty good, inexpensive video converting software for the ipods >:))

As far as the iPhone app, is there a way I can just download and watch? From what I can tell, it just streams like the "preview" in iTunes. I am constantly switching apps and it's a real pain to have to start the streaming again. At least it has a resume function... Would also be nice to be able to watch when I am out of 3G coverage. Also... more extras!!! I haven't seen any wallpaper other than the main title page. Give me screenshots I can save! Last, would've been nice to have the Beta Preview video from YouTube in the app today. Just my gripes, still like not having to search iTunes for this great podcast! Keep up the great work guys! Tryp

Hey Chris,
Country: Netherlands Tested on WIFI/3G.
3G: Impossible to download, awaiting for 5 minutes now before the video is even caching. Seems stuck on "Loading Movie"
WIFI: After selecting "Push to Play" it takes about 10 seconds before the "Loading movie" parts showed up. After that the full video was cached within 2-3 seconds. Quality: Excellent, no skips or weird blurs, looks good,
Weird thing to note: After the special episode ended, the movie was done and was back in the "Push to Play" scene. However the audio restarted and would hear it again, but not see it.

 Re: STOked iPhone App Users
Decided i couldn't wait so got the 32gb version instead lol! extra video was a bit slow to start but played smoothly once it was cached about ~20 secs or so. I was streaming over Wifi.
One thing i wasn't sure about.. I have subscribed to the HD podcast through itunes but when i tried to sync with my touch it gave an error about the video formatting not being compatible. It's not a super big deal i just thought it'd be cool to have the video podcast playing through the touch so its like watching on my comp.

Eh, i mean its $3.99. I don't think its too expensive at all. It's only a 1 time fee. Helps support the cause. Setting up a monthly donation because the show and the community is just amazing. Definitely worth passing on a coffee from time to time to support the community!

 Re: STOked iPhone App Users
Update to my earlier post:
I have noticed that about twenty minutes or so into the podcast, my video starts to freeze periodically while the audio is fine. This has happened for pretty much every episode I've watched, both in the app and from iTunes "preview", which indicates it's probably just an iPhone/AT&T thing rather than a STOked app issue. Not a big deal for me, as I'm usually working at the same time and really only glance over for screenshots and video. I am usually on 3G but this has happened on Wifi too.
I will say again, however, I'm glad to help out the guys with this "donation". Great show, fun to watch, and I can't wait to play STO with everyone in this community!
